Biography

As a teenager Charley quickly established herself as a talented vocalist. At the tender age of fourteen she became a member of a  touring harmony band, supporting more established artists, including Kym Marsh, followed by success in a BBC song writing competition and an album with Benny Anderson of Abba in Sweden.

Her education and training includes the highly regarded Italia Conti Theatre School.    Now as a professional, she performs in true concert style. She is regularly featured on local radio, both in live interviews and live performances aswell as having songs featured on radio playlists, one of which is her own composition ‘Alone’. She is also establishing herself on the session scene as either backing vocalist or  guest artist.

‘Alone’ is the title of her debut album as a professional chanteuse. The album and dvd were launched at Highbarn in Essex in the spring of 2009 and featured her own six piece band. She is now busy working on live performances with the band and promoting the album.

In July of 2009 Charley was asked to record three songs on the new Celtic Thunder album/dvd.

That album and the accompanying dvd are currently being aired on tv stations across the States and plans are in progress for her to record more songs for the new show which will begin it’s first Stateswide tour in the autumn of this year. Consequently there is more than a strong possibility Charley will be involved with the tour putting her in front of large audiences in theatres such as New York’s iconic Radio City; Nokia in Los Angeles; Wang in Boston and many more.

Although her career is still very much in the early stages she is rapidly gaining a reputation as a dynamic performer and now with her own band is also developing her own brand of music which has strong influences in the country rock with a touch of the blues in her vocal vocabulary.
